In the book Complete Wing Chun by authors Robert Chu and Rene Ritchie it says on page 8 that Leung Shueng learnd the Jee Shim Weng Chun of Dong Suen ? Did Leung Sheung mix his Yip Man Wing chun with the Jee Shim Weng Chun of Dong Suen or did he keep them separet ?

Hi Firehawk,

Lok Yiu mentioned that in his article (either the one in the Centernary Book or the Geneology Book), and it's been mentioned by others as well. It didn't sound like he spent a long time learning, just enough to recognize what Lee Man was doing when he saw him practicing the Huen Sao.

BTW- As I mentioned before, Leung Sheung, among all the HK Yip Man branches, looks about the closest to Foshan WCK, so I would guess he didn't mix much of anything in it, and simply learned what Yip Man had been doing in Foshan just before.

Rgds,
