Grandmaster Lee had a stroke two Fridays ago and passed away over last weekend at the VA Hospital in SF.
I didn't know him that well. He was always present at Bay Area tournaments and always the gentleman. I really wish I could have known him better. He was one of the American pioneers of martial arts, that first generation of great masters.

Does anyone know when he was born? I know he was a great master.
He was born in 1927 in the Palama Settlement in Honolulu, HI.Quote:
