Though not TCMA
The guillotine (reverse head lock) choke is in TCMA.
Ah, thanks for the clarification.
In TCMA, the reverse head lock (guillotine) is called "環(Huan) – neck surrounding".
If you can put your hand behind your opponent's neck, you can give him a reverse head lock. When you get it, you don't need to go down to the ground. If you are already on the ground, it can be an effective finish move.
In "stand up grappling", there are many ways to take advantage on it. "Reverse head lock leg block" or "reverse head lock foot sweep" is the most common one (depend on which direction your opponent may want to move to). TCMA emphasis on "mobility" instead of "ground game".
Thank you but I am aware of the movement in TCMA. There are a number of fairly simple escapes even for untrained guys to the standing guillotine especially if you are not pressed up against something like a cage and so can't move. That is why you see mma and bjj guys typically transition to closed guard if they do get one standing since that makes escape more difficult and gives you a great deal more leverage.
