I hope that is supposed to be a comedy. Has to be the worst martial art casting since the invention of film.
Agreed. Reminds one of the folks professing to know and do Wing Chun in the English speaking world.Quote:

Regards,
LOL. It has to be a comedy. It can't be serious.
Nonetheless, they should at least have given Uma a martial arts lesson or two. Better for the audience to laugh than to shake their heads. A day late and a dollar short, but maybe someone will take pity and offer her some instruction after seeing this one. Some good might come of it yet.

Forget that. Hit *this* bad boy! http://whatisthematrix.warnerbros.co...iler2_640.html
I hope they give Keanu a lesson or two also. His punching in the first one was terrible.
That's okay, most of the actors who play surgeons in movies don't really cut too well, and most of those who drive or pilot or sky don't really do it to well. Part of being familiar with something means its hard to fool you. I can't go to a thriller with my sister (a psycologist) anymore because she points out the BS they show as phycology (to which I would be none the wiser).
Even so, as graphic artist, I can't walk downtown without looking at fonts rather than signs, and as a writer, can't read books without deconstructing them.
Used to have a friend who was a director, and she'd go to movies and just mumble "dolley shot... fade to wide... close up..."
Nothing ruins fantasy like a dose of reality.
Like Rene says, it's only a movie. Most so called "real" martial artists make bad actors. Those of us that can do better should take acting lessons and go to Hollywood.

I still hope somone might offer a few pro-bono lessons though. Besides, just think of the press potential. :)

It surely would help us if we were represented correctly.

Come on, like all of you aren't going home to break out your Luk Dim Boon Gwun and take out an army of Agent Smiths. Don't let the Hung Ga folks claim that choreography first!

Let's make our own movie full of good Kungfu and bad acting!! Umm...make that great kungfu and OK acting. I've got a really nice camera
(Canon XL-1S) and an editing suite here at work. We'll keep the dialogue to a minimum and as they say "let the hands do the talking". Any takers? :D
Sonny Chiba's a badass.
I love the x-ray skull crushing technique.
Too late! I am claiming the choreography in the name of Hung Gar! :p
