The late Jane Hollander mention it in one of her books; actually, I have two of their lu (way/form) on VHS from Hong Kong; interesting style, because they utilizes the horse footstep (mabu) throughout the whole form and possess intricate hand movements, i.e., wrapping motions.
In closing, You may say, it is a short hand style.
I have a book on Choy Mok it shows a wooden dummy techniques and shows the phoenix eye fist and they seem to use snake hands alot and there are alot of things in the book but it is in chinese so i cant read it .
