it's like some sort of acupressure system - knew a "bodyworker" once who did it - nothing outside of what you might see w/tuina and the like; anyway, it's more about the practitioner than the art (where have I heard that before...)
I've never heard of Jin Shin Jyutsu, but I've heard of Jin Shin Do, and it's similar to what TGY described. Basically, it's an acupressure system somewhat like Shiatsu.
A lot of people in TCM school in BC seemed to have a background in it... if nothing else, it's an effective gateway into the world of Eastern "bodywork" therapies.
Not quite the same. Jin Shin Do is Iona Teegaurden's creation, based on Jin Shin Jutsu.
They are unique in the touching of acupoints to effect a cure, rather than do the same shiatsu with repetitive motions.
