I got to train with Ando sensei once. My aikido sensei was one of his uchi deshi for years. As skillful as he is I don't think he'll ever reach Shioda's level of skill because he's always trying to copy Shioda rather than allowing his own way to come through.
As a young man, I used to train under Kushida Sensei.
A nice skit, but the skill lies more in the uke than the nage. A good uke can make just about anyone look like a master.Quote:
