I have seen and have had experience first hand with many many cults and cult-like teachers. (Funny how many of them are MAists. Unfortunately, students will always put their teacher on a pedestal. It is the deranged person who then takes advantage of that.)
From premmies (devotees of Guru Maharaj-ji -if you're old enough to remember him, the sixteen yr-old guru), to Moonies, Religious fundamentalist churches, Jews for Jesus, Messianic Jews, Buddhist cults-(namyo ho renge kyo) Wiccan cults, Kabballa Learning Center, Dianetics/Scientology (funny thing-I read the book, found it interesting and walked into a Dianetics place when I was 18. After listening to the interviewer, I immediately caught onto the fact that it was a cult, said thanks but no-thanks and walked out. I find it funny how others don't see right through them) LGATS-(Personal Dynamics-which I actually enjoyed thoroughly, but knew how to get the tools I needed and leave it alone-I still reccommend it but you need to have your wits about you), MLMs, Psi cults, Neotech, and others.
I think that is great work you're doing, and keep it up.
