i caught someone viewing this again... :p
somebody else was looking at this...
LOL... only from your perspective... i marvel at how threatening a book can be and i also marvel at how offended everyone seems to get because of it - imagine if it is genuine... now who has been hoodwinked by all the propaganda and mis-information?? HAHAHAHAHA!!!! :p
oh come on, Did you actually read this book? It says nothing at all, nothing threatening, just boring blah blah blah vague generalized nothingness. Its kindergarten level text, not revealing or insightful at all.
The reason that it is offending is that it is so boring and goofy and being passed off as some kind of secret information.
If you can take this KF movie level joke of nonsense serious, then anything of real value would be pearls before swine.
If you really want to learn something then read
Principles of Effortless Power by Peter Ralston
and
Martial Maneuvers: Fighting Principles and Tactics of the Internal Martial Arts -
by Phillip Starr
You can really learn something from these books that 100 years of searching won't get you.
FWIW I would definately second Sal's recommendation of Sifu Starr's book.
i wasn't aware that this book was claiming to be containing any "secret" information, just bringing to light the state of the shaolin order in this day and age - a very insightful book on many levels. funny that you see boring nothingness in it, actually it's quite validating to the perfection in the nature of the way. it's also funny how you percieved "threatening" in such external manner. imagine what is at stake should the book be genuine... imagine the fallout in the martial arts world, the millions of dollars lost in revenues for shaolin soda, shaolin tours, and shaolin prayer beads(buy two and recieve the third free). LOL... that would be some sight to behold. :)
another mans junk, is another mans treasure.
Still digging deep for that conspiracy theory Uki? Put your tinfoil hat back on and take you pills. ;)
Is there any book on the market in english, with old shaolin training scheduals , focussed mainly on preparation boxing from before the 1960s, before one starts with the big sets....
I red some fantastic article of Zhu Tian Xi talking about some training, and want to know more :)
Peace Eugene
according to the order of shaolin, no books have been published in english by the order ever - until this book came out... of course, this does not mean that individuals of the order have not published books in english(without stating they are shaolin of course) :D
well thats a bummer then, I guess am gona do a horse stance all day, while punching a bag.:(
sadly... martial arts is second or third in the priorital order of the shaolin - fighting is only last resort. :o
