I will be sure to bring this thread back when I see it on TBS in a couple years. I saw Rocky 5, I wouldn't watch # 6. I watched that retarded Saw movie therefore I would never go to see #'s 2 and 3.

I can't help but chime in on this, but I agree with Sihing.....
TBS is a family type station channel, so of course, in a few yrs, you will possibly see Rocky 6, and yess, you can bring this thread back from the dead, but IMO, I doubt most cable networks will show retarted movies like Saw for the mere fact that its 1) Not a family movie, and 2) has more violence, bad language and enuff gore to make a 2hr movie only 40 mins long. Of course there's Starz, HBO, or Cinemax, but they don't count.
As for Rocky 5, while it may not be his best of the rocky series, as a whole, the rocky series still ownz a lot of nonsense crap that they show out there nowadays. I think all of us who train in TMA, MMA, etc to a certain extent, have a very fond appreciation and can relate our ways of training to his, whether we compete or not.
I totally agree with you. Rocky is one of the most inspirational movie characters ever. He is also pretty stupid though:p . I loved the first 4 Rocky movies but the last one just turned me the wrong way and it felt like a Cynthia Rothrick movie or something.
I hope it's as good as the first one. Looks like it may have some heart.

I was a big time Rocky fan in the 70's.
3 decades later, I am still a fan even tho we are old.
:D :)
Can anyone explain why Sly looks so freaking weird? And scary?
yeah it is probably jsut oldness though I would also guess it has something to do with botox or whatever that crap is that everyone in Hollwood uses.
Either way, I've seen ever one since the first, so I feel I should continue the trend, no matter how bad it turns out to be.

This won't be a bad movie......I have Faith! :D
Ya gotta love this scene, no matter how cheesy it might be:
Mason Dixon: It's Over!
Rocky: Aint nothin over til its over
Mason Dixon: Where's that from, the 80's?
Rocky: That's probably the 70's
:o
since when do you see a man of 60 in a boxing ring ??
still it looks good tho
With all of the good reviews this is getting I will have to see it and hopefully I am wrong!
Just saw it, great Movie. Very realistic, and Sly does deal with the fact that he and the character are 60.
I recommend all to see it, as there are lots of good lessons to learn from it, and of course it is very inspirational.
