That's only because the Stones had a bunch of hot chicks attending their concert.
And it's a well recorded fact that UFC fanboys are only interested in sweaty men wearing thongs.

Some funny comments in this. Bob Arum, a boxing promoter, slams UFC with comments like "a bunch of skin heads, ****sexuals, and tattoo wearing nazi's"
Must be feeling the heat from failing PPV sales.
here's the clip i found.

Heres vid I think

It's worth noting Arum states he has lots of respect for the business minds in charge of UFC and MMA, he just doesn't like the sport itself.
I think it's important to *LISTEN* to how this guy talks about boxing. He's talking candidly about how important it is for a fighter to "entertain". We can only hope MMA continues in the same direction towards being a full-on spectator sport. Hulk Hogan of the WWF or the defensive line of the Tennessee Titans don't have much bearing on traditional arts, they are entertainers, sportsman, and athletes.
It would be good to see MMA the same way.. and with the advent of people like Brock Lesnar and Kimbo Slice into the MMA sport helps bring that closer and closer.
I think the TMA folks should have the market back in another 10=15 years. :D
LOL the 70's and 80's are coming back. Ninja turtles are around the corner.Quote:

yeah... don't see it happening
Funny that people are defending this guy on other forums. Racist comments and all. This guy is the A-typical "Cracker" rich white guy.
I like both sports honestly. I find value in practicing both in my life. I box and do MMA, and it makes for a better fighter imo.
I just think this guy is feeling the heat from loss of sales due to MMA and probably never watched a MMA fight or did once and based it all on that experience and the people there.
The 70s and 80s are not likely to come back. But I think we are going to see MMA grow more and more into a spectator sport where it's relevance to straight combat becomes increasingly distant. The more money gets put into the sport the more important it is to "give the crowd what they want". The more important it is to give the crowd what they want the further MMA gets from something a normal person can or will train.
Do you think you can take the title holder of the WWF in a fair fight? I know I'd be scared spitless and I'm 6'3" and 250+. And the WWF isn't martial arts (though it's roots are in folkstyle and catch wrestling)... it's performance "art".
You take big huge people with scary genetics and they start training to please the crowds. The way the NFL trains is not for Joe Sixpack. The way MMA is headed is not in a direction most normal people are remotely capable of following except as spectators.
And that's good. They can train TMA and watch MMA. This isn't like the 70s or the 80s. It's something we are going to see in the 20s I think.
oh my lord, gay skinhead nazi's :D
I don't see any reversion back. Yes MMA has taken turns and is going to keep taking turns. Where it ends up no one knows.Quote:

IMO TMA is a dying thing. Most of its crap. Sorry but that's how I feel. Why would people go back to a stagnet cess pool when they've been exposed to so much more.
What ever MMA is morphing to we shall see. I don't see it becoming a WWF/TNA thing. If people want that they will go watch it from the source.
This was pure comedy gold. So what you are saying is all sports are fake:confused: Of course the NFL players do not train for Joe Sixpack, they are the best football players on the planet. This is why the games are so good (most of the time). Do you know the percentage of high school players who go on to play college, then college players who go on to play pro, the numbers are small because only the elite get in. God forbid an industry try to put the best athletes in their respective sport to entertain us, that's just plain lunacy:rolleyes:
