What really bothers you serpent?
If you "know" deep in your heart without question that everything I say is "wrong" then why would it bother you?
I don't get upset when people think the world is flat.
I notice that a lot of the noisey people here whine that I am "advertising"
What am I "advertising"
I don't sell a single video tape (oh, yeah, it's a DVD now isn't it?)
I don't sell any books
I haven't been in a magazine in over 10 years
And 95% of the people on here couldn't join my school even if they wanted to...
So what is really bothering you? just share, guys like Ai Lek can jump right in...

Let's see....... what are you trying to sell us.....yourself... your school... San Da as a training methodology..... your San Da training program and San Da events which people pay to go see.
Did I miss anything?;)
Oh...and you have a DVD out....BFD...anyone can shoot, edit, and burn a DVD if they have a personal computer and a digital camcorder.
See, I told you it was just a matter of time until Ai Lek and ED found eachother and true love
Once again, Ai Lek, you show that you have no common sense and can not argue at all logically?Quote:

How can I sell "myself"? What am I doing, selling pieces of me?
My school? 95% of the people here live so far away they couldn't train with me if they wanted to
Selling San Da? Selling an idea somehow makes me rich? OK, sure
As for my events, the ones I DO NOT CHARGE PEOPLE TO ENTER, well, that right there says a lot doesn't it. The athletes don't pay to compete.
So, I provide to them, FREE OF CHARGE, the ability to test themselves and be better people. Ask Evolution Fist, he's done one of my events.
Most other promoters don't bother with people with no fights who don't sell tickets. The NY Showdown is the only event on the East Coast that allows beginners to be matched up with other beginners.
The matches are famous for being fairly made and for fair judging.
Spectators pay a mere $20 for an average of 10 to 15 fights. And that is so these events, which help develop individuals, can run. Their spectator fees pay for the insurance and the judges and the referee....
Man, you are so dis-connected from reality it's a joke, you're pathetic in every way
Are you doing anything remotely close to helping the community? How are you promoting martial arts?
what is "BFD"?
for something I am supposed to be selling, I've never heard of it?
what's bothering Serpent most is that your post count might exceed his.
Big Fukking Deal
Ai Lek, serpent and ED (man, "I lick", a snake and a guy with ED, there's a great joke in there) can form a mutual admiration society and circle jerk until they are blue in the face now that they've found eachother and true love.....
Do you think I fell off the turnip truck yesterday?Quote:

There's more ways to make money than simply charging admission, so that doesn't mean jack.
You have some vested interest in your point of view....perhaps financially....or perhaps just to further inflate your bloated rotting whale carcass of an ego. ;)
Not only is it likely you just fell of the truck, I'd wager you are in fact a vegtable
So, if I don't charge the participants to compete and you claim I'm not making money off the admissions, where is the magical millions coming from?
You won't answer, you can never answer anything directly.....
Just like you claim I sell some DVD, you can't even name it!
But, on a related note, let's say I was making millions off my fighting events, are you a communist?
Your enemy's enemy is your friend. ;)Quote:

Equipment tie ins, training fees, I'm not sure..... but like I said...maybe its not financial.... you could just be trying to keep that Mac truck ego filled up with gas.Quote:

As for your DVD, why the f would I know the name of it? Only in your little dream world does anybody give a rats ass about your DVD.
Ladies and gentlemen, the greatest back peddle in the history of the forum
So you claim I'm making money off an event. Then you find out no one is charged to participate and the entry fee is nothing. So you try to quickly claim there must be "some other way". Then fall back to "I'm not sure"Quote:

So you claim I sell a DVD (which I don't) and then suddenly can't come up with it's name....

But what if what he says is not wrong? Most of the things I have read from lkfmdc I agree with mostly (I get a bid dyslexic at times, and keep on wanting to call you KMFDM, but that’s mainly cause that’s the cd in my player most of the time). But I still love traditional kung fu, and still consider myself more of a traditionalist if anything else.
Serpent and Ai lek,
No disrespect intended with this post. I respect both of you guys pretty much.
I dont know lkfmdc personally, but although I may not always agree with the way he puts things across in this forum, I still agree with what is being said.
Maybe someday, we can all get together and show each other what we mean in a friendly and respectful manner. This Chinese Martial Arts is pretty amazing stuff, and we don’t always see it for that.
If you think some people are making money from all this, then so be it. This forum is run by a company which does just that, and Im pretty sure most people would like to make money doing something they love. But non of this was really that serious. Dont see any harm in any of it.
