Just curious. Why would you not want to visit those schools?
Because I've seen Charles Graham perform gunshu (staff) and that is the wushu I like.

Yes he is in Houston but I want to know of others like him. I am asking for information and I am not interested in debates about liking or not liking someone or some particular group.
There are many Kung Fu Teachers in H-town. I have met Charles Graham he has judged me in a few tournaments and I have seen him perform and he is good and a real nice guy. But in my perspective, and I am not trying to start a flame war or anything like that, someone who has exclusively practiced Kung Fu from the tender age of 5 or 6 years old day in and day out has a lot more knowledge and experience to offer than many of the other teachers in Houston. Why not at least give one of the Monk's schools a try but I would also encourage you to try as many as you like to find the one teacher you are comfortable with because after all that is what it boils down to.
Thanks B-Rad for the great video of Charles Graham, also thanks to shaolin1 for your insights. I'm going to try two or three different places in Houston when I go there in March. Also thanks to some people who gave suggestions in pm's to me. I may or may not try a monk's school because I tend towards Mme Wang Jurong's school. Then again I'm not trying to start a flame war here either. After all we are here to make friends through wushu.

The one place in houston that I would recommend you stay away from in this BMA wushu. The website is basically just an ad for the instructor wanting to be a model and a movie star. Visit the website, it is really pretty funny, especially the terrible, self aggrandizing movie script that they have posted; pretty hilarious stuff.Quote:

The monks do stress alot of conditioning, so if you are just looking to learn new forms and not to get in better shape, then you might not prefer that.
If you ever come out to Katy, send me a PM, there is a new school open here by a Shaolin guy and his assistant (who is very talented in modern and traditional forms). I usually get one on one lessons, because so far there are not many students. One on one for group rates? You cant beat that. I am learning the staff right now, and it is alot of fun.
