New Year Motivation (you are never too old)
In case its needed here’s a motivational story for you….use it when you are feeling old, injured or past it
One our out master 3 lifters (60 and over) has just won gold at the commonwealth powerlifting championships: he set a world record in the squat and deadlift and broke the overall total world record in his weight class three times in one day. His best lifts were 275kg squat, 170kg bench and 280kg deadlift, all at a bodyweight of 90kg
4 other lifters from our gym also won gold medals, and the English team won the team event
On a side note ever seen a dozen powerlifters at an all you can eat Chinese buffet? it’s a scary sight I think the restaurant lost some money that night
