He was a scary piece of work.
What aspect of himself did he lose that diminished his fighting skills later on.

maybe he didn't lose anything and instead he gained something that removed his interest in fighting.
I think it was life experience and coming to understand human nature.
early on he was predatory.
he stalked his prey, with amazing head movement,
ripping off deadly combos with blazing speed.
as he got older his technique started slipping;
this was before buster douglas,
some said it coincided with him dropping rooney in late 88.
he started thinking he could just KO everyone with a single punch.
his jab started to go, as did his head movement and the combos.
peekaboo style traditionally has a very short lifespan,
most inside fighting styles do.
the brutal training regiment required demanding absolute commitment,
this leads to early burnout.
Don King.
Enough said.
yep, don king screwed him over, a big part was when his trainer passed, messed him up.
watch his newest documentary
don king has badass hair
looks like he touched a wet power plug
Greetings,
I always thought it was the false armor of steroids that did him in. Don't you remember early in his career he spoke like a pre pubescent girl and was starting to bald? Yet, at the same time he was knocking guys literally off their feet. He was never a clean boxer. That is why I did not feel bad when Evander Holyfield headbutted the guy to a victory. And I was never a Holyfield fan.
