I question your research on the subject. I think you'll find the turkic people are by far the biggest travellers of the ancient world... and the biggest sailors were the norse. (keeping in mind their oceanic travels were post-classical).
Don't suppose you have anything resembling proof of Phonecian travels? Because I can find absolutely nothing to suggest they got beyond the mediterranean and, to be blunt, the entirety of the mediterranean was heavily sailed by greeks, romans, egyptians and, yes, phonecians.
