Early Shaolin Chang Chuan Influence in the Development of Modern Wushu

These forms are presented by Master Javalois.

They are of importance because they showcase the development of modern Wushu, using traditional Shaolin as its template. The two Shaolin forms that were greatly sources for these forms were Shao Hong Chang Chuan and Da Hong Chang Chuan (Lesser and Greater Long Fist). One can observe the technical focus in the first couple of forms that slowly give way to more performance based moves in the later forms. We have a very unique and important glimpse of Wushu history.
