World Record for Lion Dancing Eye Dotting Ceremony

Anybody participate in the Lion Dancing at the Opera House last weekend?

One of those rare occasions when you get to experience the tremendous frivolity of a bunch of lions trying to dance in half the space required. A bit like a scene out of an old Shaw brothers flick, without the swords and knives on the footwear...

They told us it was a guiness book of world records record, 60 new lions being eyedotted and performing for the 60th anniversary of the People's Republic of China.

Of course, it ran really late, we didn't get to keep the lions as promised, and the great feast promised was a box of coconut buns. So much for the promises of the Chinese Communist party....hehehehe.
