I'm ignorant.
I wear a size 12 shoe. What size should I get on the martial arts shoes?
I've ne'er worn a 42 . . . that I tell people about.

Looks like you should be wearing a 46. http://www.martialartsmart.net/45353l.html
Size 13 (USA) usually size 12 (UK) there is a very slight difference. I don't know if feiyue makes shoes big enough for me.
I wear size 42 feiyues (10 1/2 U.S.)
I wear 40 feiyue i wear a 9 (us) when it comes to adidas.
I just slipped on my first pair of Feiyue's today.
I know somewhere else on this forum someone stated that Kwon's and Feiyue's are the same shoe, just different logo. And they bought the Feiyue's cause they are a couple of $$ cheaper...Well as someone who has worn both Feiyue's and Kwon let me tell you the saying "You get what you pay for." is right.
The few dollars I saved in Feiyue's cost me the extra cushioning in the sole, and less stiffness around the instep...
Needless to say I will file a second report after I have broken them in, but these Feiyue's I no like.
Bakc to the Kwon's next time. (I just wish I hadn't ordered in bulk for the Kwoon)
kwons will last longer. i rip through feiyues so darn fast. I had a pair of kwons out last almost 3 pairs of feiyues
i have some feiyues also. but i like kwons better, next pair will be kwons again.
personally though i like the less padding feiyues offers. but im weird.
I've got a pair of Feiyue's and they don't offer enough support. I've got a pair of indoor soccer shoes and they are a bit too stiff. Where can I find these illusive KWONs? I've searched all over the web and all I can find are Tae KWON do shoes. From what I hear, they may work for me.
Thanks.
When in search of a company I always do the www.companyname.com thing first...www.kwon.com is where you want to go.
But cause I am a nice guy here is a link to the shoes directly.
Here's to hoping there is no banning for recommending the competition...
only rule is, if you want to be cool like me, you have to put white laces in the black and black in the white shoes, or red in either.
:p
PQ,
I'm gonna have to steal your idea and get me some red laces.
The KWON's look exactly the same as the Feiyue's. Can you tell the difference in how they feel when they're on your feet?
Oh, and thanks for the link. Sometimes the obvious escapes me. :D
The Kwon's feel much better...IMO when I slipped on the Feiyue's I could feel the cheaper quality.
And trust me, I wanted to like the Feiyue's cause of this forum...but...they are not as good.
...I haven't worn a pair of Kwons since '99. Back then, I found them really disappointing, especially since they were the knock-off brand. I've seldome found the knock offs to be as satisfactory as the original and Feiyue has a lot of knock offs. I wore through the treads very quickly, so I went right back to Feiyues. Perhaps they've changed their recipe for sole rubber. The market is changing dramatically - there are more martial arts shoes of varying designs and quality coming out of PRC than ever before. It's getting really hard to keep up with...
