because if it is can anyone explain why it looks NOTHING like it?
Well.......................
I started off in 2004 with a local Lau Gar Kung Fu class. It helped me lose some weight and increase my fitness levels. Something was missing though. It was great...
There's these:

It's a very good book that has some vintage photos of Ip shui etc.
also
...
Yes some Chow Gar and other stuff.
Li Tien Loi of Chow Gar SPM at 7m 20s, followed by Ip Shui and Ip Chee Keung. Just after that Northern Mantis Sifu Lee Kam Wing of chaat sing Tong Long (7 star)...
There's a lot of contact in Chow Gar anyway. Stink of jow all the time. ;)
Tony C has a good rep in kf circles.

interesting. I didn't know that.
Then it's not Pak Mei then is it?? I'm assuming it doesn't use the 8 gings either?
How do you generate sufficient power?
It doesn't look like any Pak Mei I have seen (not that I'm an expert). I wonder how much actual "Pak Mei" the "Master" actually did learn. Any info on his teacher(s) or lineage?

Paul Whitrod's dvd's are very good. Filmed a while ago and transfers from vhs they contain a lot of detailed information.
I have most of them. :)

It's Jeremy Yau.
According to the various news sites he was injured in Oct 2011 and had a stroke.
He apparently id recovering well.
I've not heard of spring power. i'm for familiar with "gen" or shock power. Development starts with sarm bo jin and dip gwut gung.
It's actually Swedish.
That doesn't look anything like the SPM weapons work that I have seen.
Some good points made already.
You can use Thai Pads for starters (the curved ones by Fairtex are nice and hard) for this then go one to blocking kicks using the shins with shin pads on then to shin...
Looks a mix of CGI and good old fashioned stunt work.
Ridley Tsui-Bo Wah did some of the most dangerous films stunts I have seen and he's still in one piece so it's not impossible.

When we make Chow's family recipe dit da yau we have to simmer the oil before adding the herbs.
