No offence but you fight as you train. What are you going to do if a guy jumps you, start doing solo drills?
Is this a troll response or what ;-)

I heard only good things about KM. They teach you some principles on how to fight and give you a bunch of dirty tricks and of you go. They train these techniques very thouroughly (~boring?) and thats...
Hehehe, I think my comment that the bong shuldn't be used was a little bit short.
What I mean is that as soon as the bong is formed I seek to change it into something else as soon as possible. I...
Why bother using it at all. There are better responces than the bong.

If you look at the amateaurgloves you often see that the front of the gloves have a white field, over the knuckles. You can throw any type of punch you want but you must hit with this white area.

Hi
I think "Wing Tsun Kuen" is really good. You have the first two forms and lots of chisau drills. But you have to see through the propaganda though... ;)
Phisker, don't be upset. Did you really belive you would have any chance against a boxer on his homeground? Its quite natural but why not ask them to sparr with KF rules, i.e. on your homeground!

Puuuiiiii....
This thread has been repeated so many times it feels like a parrot. I will as usual give my worthless opinion.
KF has a combat oriented background where e.g. swords etc. are used...
Interesting topic.
We have a fight club at my gym and we train once a week. I would guess that 75% of the time is used for conditioning because sparring/fighting is hard on the body and stammina....
Hi everybody
I read an interview about this movie and there was an expert on history that helped the actors with the fighting choreography. It seems that the gangs fought with different styles and...
Ras: Watch out.
I had the same problems a couple of years ago and it lead to a rotary cuff injury so severe that I had to have surgery on my right shoulder. Today I can't use the bong on either...
I thought that the main reason Judo guys slap out their arm (the other arm protecting the head) was that they want to avoid injuries to the elbow???? Shure some of the energy bleed of in the slaping...
I'm just curious about one thing. Is the shotokan karate guy a valid black belt??? Does he got the black belt under a legit organization???
I have sparred shotokan guys and to say that a shotokan...
SifuAbel: Ok, ok....
I really don't know how good he is. Maybe he never should have gotten up that morning but hes got good size.
Maybe if he would have used his ki to root himself to the floor...
LOL, come on guys!!!
The comment "crush his adamsapple" shows that someone knows zip about grappling. It is a no-no to extend the arms when underneath. You will be trapped by an armlock every...
The exactly same happened to my friend this weekend. I almost thought it was him until I read about the broken wrist. My friend ended up on the ground with a 200 pound boxer and had good control...
I don't know anything about this guy but he is a student under Master Cheng Chuen Fun from Hong Kong and seems to be fighter, see link below:

Whohaaaaa.... Hold your horses!!!
The only real WC/WT/VT bible is the "Wing Tsun Kuen by LT". Atleast thats what I've been told...;)
I think its important to understand that most grapplers(atleast me and my training partners) think that counter a good executed shoot is very difficult. I usually try to sprawl but I estimate that I...
I just have to add a detail about takedowns.
An intermediate grappler going for a takedown ain't gonna "charge" in. And the reason grapplers use sprawling (instead of pushing down with hands) is...
Dang, I liked the old guys techniques....
Look at the throw. I think someone knows some chui Chiao? (or Judo etc.). I also think the takedown counter was a tasty little sucker, he hocked the...
I think SanShou Guru has a point, good post.
When I was amateur boxing (13 years ago) there where certain knockout rules. If you got KO:ed you were forced to rest from sparring and competition for...
LMAO!!!!
Merry, you are fighting windmills here....
I train WC myself and I know after training BJJ that it is the method of training thats different. BJJ/Judo etc. go pretty much full force...
Here's my input on the subject:
1. Think defense, not offense while sparring full-contact
2. Always think of balance, e.g. don't lean back
3. Do boxer neck-exercises, even if you get hit you...
Does impetigo count??? I got a impetigo infection from my BJJ class a couple of months ago. That wasn't nice and I had to eat penicilin for 10 days. I always look for open wounds on my trainig...
