I posted this clip a few months ago in a thread where people talked about take downs in tcma..
these are not the super crystal clear nice ones but they were executed in actual sparring...not 100%...
no need to be humble about your guys they are doing great....
There are plenty of sets or sections in Hung Kuen which support that thought ...
Heres another video where the same gentleman plays our night tiger set....
you will see clearly the...
Heres a short clip from what I was talking earlier..when he came to our table and were doing applications with us
my wife were taking pics the whole time and only recorded a few seconds.....
here he plays the tigerfork and again you can see the aplications and intentions.. often you see people play their sets, specially weapons and its just like waving the weapon around..but no intention...
exactly.. this gentleman is my sigung and i was lucky enough to get some lessons from him on several occasions..one I never forget was at a dinner party in HK when my kung fu brother and I were...

We have takedowns and sweeps in our hung kuen forms,we train them in seperated drills from forms, from stand alone(just the sweeps),partner drills and try to use them in sparring...heres a highlight...
we have a similar technique in hung kuen style.. only we dont do it in cat stance..see here..

some shops in HK call it instruments and not weapons.
Of course you wouldnt have seen this technique used a lot in the old mma fights or vale tudo..who wanna go on about "Hey,I won my fights with a groin kick or throat grab" those are things you can use...

The person in the clip is my Sigung; Leung Kam Kwong. This set was brought to hongkong by my dai-sigung Wong Lei who came from Guangdung..before learning the Lam Sai Wing hung kuen he learned this...
