Basically it is a similiar power as the 'silk reeling energy' which results in Fajing, in Taiji Quan.
This is Sifu Michael Punschkes school in Munich.
He is a student of LKY, but is foremost a Choy Lay Fut teacher,
student of Lee Koon Hung and now Doc Fai Wong.
Does not look as powerful as a real gong fu sow choy,
mainly because of his lack of relaxation and rooting…
What about this one,
it is a rigid, blunt, heavy blade and best of all it does not have a cheesy design as most of the others…
Thank you everyone for your answers, it was exactly what I was hoping for!
:)
I had not realized before that the set is the same as my CLF broadsword…
Hi everyone,
Does anyone recognise this form?
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mufHD5Ocalw&feature=related
It is quite often on youtube but I do not find any information from what style it is,...
This one (like most modern ones) is too heavy, historical sabers did not weigh more than 1,7
In my school there are some old sabers, that are quite heavy and with a simple design,
the blade looking like it was from chrome steel.
I never saw those in any shops (online). Anyone knows...
Yeah…
I had posted a similar thread some time ago maybe it helps:

This forum is mostly US oriented, maybe you also check out other...
@Eddie: I sent you a pm.
He has very good skills!
Looks like he is working the internal aspect of CLF too!
Thanks for posting.
I am a big admirer of Adam Hsu,
but I do not think he counts, he is born and raised in Asia,
has spent most of his life there and finally did return to Taiwan.
His US adventure was too short to...
six classes is nothing. after six month you may have some sort of basics.
after six years you are maybe good at what they teach (with hard work).
Gong fu is about patience and hard work. Just do...
@hskwarrior:
What I meant is, like Tentigers wrote too, that it looks to me, that he is beginning a new technique without having finished the one before.
It does not look like a masters...
No disrespect, but it seems to me he is not finishing his techniques,
or am I missing something?
Ba Pan Zhang is just another name for Bagua or Pakua Zhang.
It is the same thing.
Now as you say it, I see some monkey ressemblances in this form…
Don't let you fool by my current adress ;) My Sifu is M. Punschke from Germany.
Are there any vids on the internet from Li Chun...
Mhh, I do not know more details…
My Sifu who was a student from LKH told me this once.
There are however similarities in the salute of this form and another Bak Siu Lam form
that came also via...
Actually the Siu Lum Guan from the LKH line is not a Choy Lay Fut form
it is from Bak Siu Lam (cantonese version of northern Shaolin)
The title is in german, but the people talk some
eastern language like Russian or so…
Thanks so far!
@Wong Ying: Is this the Mizong you are talking about?

Hi all,
I am planning to move to London.
Does anyone have recommendations for good traditional schools in London?
(I do not look for Wing Chun or Yang Style TJQ).
Preferably Choy Lay Fut, or...
When do you publish?
:)
Ah, I forgot, there is no CLF in Paris at all.
There are some Lee Koon Hung affiliated school in the south of France,
but nothing close to Paris.
Generally speaking the southern styles are...

Your friend is very welcome to try out our school:
