Very true indeed. Although in the teachings, Lama has never said anything about plant life feeling pain and suffering, when asked, he simply explains that they are not considered sentient...

I think human beings can and are made to consume meat. On the other hand, I also think that human beings are consuming too much more than their fair share of meat. I am not 100% sure...
