I will be in attendance. A couple of years ago, I organized a meet up Friday night for KFM folks. Sadly this year, I am working Friday night DJing at a bar in Dallas. But I hope to meet some more...
I train to learn how to stop the threat.
Take that anyway you want it to mean. In a street type confrontation, home invasion, getting mugged, etc. You must stop the threat. That is my answer.
I have a fear of Mr Happy not standing at attention. I face my fear by asking my Dr. for a Viagra prescription. Problem solved. ;):D
Here's my take on the subject, There are 2 types of instructors:

There are 2 types of students:

After reading this, I am now hungry for some Mongolian BBQ. :p
Yes, I agree 100%
I teach 1/2hr private lessons. Yes, I do spar with my students and yes they do on occasion hit me in the face as a result. More so with the advanced. Have had my nose bloodied even. Shuai Chiao,...
I've actually landed the eye poke on 2 of the few street type altercations in the past. One was at a bar, guy had me up against the bar one hand choke and ready to punch with the other. Eye poke...
Groin kick and eye poke/gouge. Its in every martial art out there. Yet no one uses it. Best freaking technique out there. I personally have used them in "altercations" Slows them down long...
While true and I agree to certain extent. There is such a thing a manners and common courtesy. Which I believe is still a part of martial arts training. No? Is that not a part of your curriculum?
Would love to see ACTUAL POLICE record with these on there. Cause I know for a fact, getting a concealed weapons license is near impossible with these charges on your record. Me thinks you are...
If I were part of a neighborhood watch, yes. If not, I will probably just make a not of it.
If your student identified himself, none of your business is not the proper response. "I work...
Bottomline, I don't give a flying f*** what the law says. If someone means me harm or comes into my dwelling uninvited, he or she will have to fight for what they want to take from me. One of us is...
I like it. Have used same technique a time or two. But yeah, if a wrestler gets a hold of you, a sprawl is the way to go. Even then, as you said, if he is faster, you are going to the ground.
One...
If we are talking just straight up fighting within the martial arts confines, yes. However, in todays environment, escalation is the key. Ability can be compensated by other means, be it a technique...
^^ This guys Wins!!
In all seriousness, there is no such thing as "the best fight stance" or "the best technique" if there was, it would be the only thing taught in Martial Arts and that would...
Best fighting stance is prone position aiming a 700PSS in .308 at your opponents center mass at about 100+ yards away without him/her knowing. :D

I have trained in other arts, but never Shaolin Do.
Say what?!?! I don't practice Shaolin Do, you must have me mistaken with someone else.
Show me documented training of firearms within TCMA. Just cause a TCMA practitioner picked up a musket and shot it, does not mean TCMA has a proven firearms training curriculum. Unless it was added...
NOPE
TCMA never had firearms. We have firearms today. Krav Maga incorporates firearms training in order to be relevant in todays scenarios. Modern weapons and tactics are severely lacking in TCMA.
Isn't there only half of the people left studying from the orginal group(10yr program). That is quite a commitment. I remember reading about it when it started.
I also like that they included...
