We could say this about most MA. :(
Well this thread has taken a surprising turn for the better...
I usually can't be bothered to comment on his videos, but that is honestly the worst imitation of drunken boxing I have ever seen.
Xiao Hong Quan is a pretty form???
Do you also do shin conditioning on gravel bags, or just the palms, feet..ect?
You and I could get along....
 That is awesome. :D
It's been a while, but MK is back in the win category!
I think it's harder under those circumstances too. A lot of this stuff is a generational culture by now. That makes it that much harder to get out of the loop then someone who's surrounded by...
:eek:That was awesome!:D
I didn't mean to imply a fist fight, but I'll bet Frank would give him a pretty good tirade about what he thinks about him. Of course I don't know him personally, so I wouldn't know how he would...

Just my thoughts as an outsider..don't hold any weight or mean anything...you would have a far better perspective being directly involved and apparently unemotionally attached to the what the facts...
I understand "Gong Fu" can be applied to anything...again, this isn't a direct reference to stage performance, but the author is writing about this skill as one of the 72 arts traditionally trained...
Stage performance seems like it would be a logical avenue for a martial artist who wasn't teaching, fighting, in the military, a body guard or whatever...
I tend not to believe any...
I wouldn't know, just sharing that one reference I remembered...I'm not nearly as knowledgeable as some of the other folks here about Chinese culture/history...was always more interested in combat,...
As to the circus stuff...this is an excerpt from "Training Methods of 72 Arts of Shaolin" -1934. It doesn't expressly mention "circuses" but I think it could be implied, by "roaming acrobats." I...
Definitely a different side of you then we see here! Props for putting yourself out there here in hostile territory...I thought it was good man!
Can't I just get some popcorn and enjoy the show?
