actually, the anvil would be easier to wield since it is not as long... less leverage
if u crumbled up a sword into a ball, u would have a shot-put size ball of carbon steel weighing about 2-4...
even if medieval plate suits weighed 100lbs - which they do not... even jousting suits only approach 80lbs - are u telling me there is the same amount of material in a 7ft kwan dao as a suit of plate...

a claymore is basically just a celtic sword with an unusually narrow blade for a two-handed sword.
william wallace's sword was unusually narrow and it was celtic...
highlander claymors could NOT weigh over 6lbs... they were one of the narrowest two-handers ever made thus, they would be much lighter... they averaged at 4lbs.

the blade is about as thin as a regular 1-handed sword... it was just the way the celts made it

claymores don't weigh as much as most two-handers because they tend to be very skinny
and broadswords are not actually...
the average two-hander weighs about... um... 4-6lbs i think or maybe even lighter

i was reading about the weapons on this site and i looked at the Kwan Dao
supposedly it weighs 100lbs. that is ridiculous. that would be like wielding a small teenager or two full suits of plate...
