When I practice Chi Sao I strive to stay connected to my opponent the best I can.
When I think of "chasing hands" I think of a person who is literally chasing their opponents hands rather than covering their own center.
I also think of a person who chasing feints and flinches...
I've had this conversation with my Sifu I have also discussed this with my own students.
The fact of the matter is it takes as long as it takes. I still train with my sifu for the past 19 years....
