Yah, judo kata are all two man affairs though. It's generally just the formal practice of the techniques. Also the self-defense techniques are taught in kata form.

Personally, I do MA for two primary reasons. One is because my style (judo) is so darn fun I couldn't stop if I wanted to.
The other reason is that MA is what separates us from the people who do...
I would not attend a school that teaches this way. Not to say it doesn't work or anything, but if I'm gonna pay somebody to teach me MA, I wanna learn the actual techniques as they were intended. ...

Scroll down a bit to the pic of Li Baoshu. He looks a heck of a lot like Su Kong.
Heh, this reminds me of a guy I used to work with. This guy claimed to have taken part in designing the stealth bomber (now working for $7 bucks an hour in security), and he claimed to have...
Has anyone ever seen Sin The fight or spar?
Greetings,
Myself and several others from www.bullshido.com are getting together in Atlanta this weekend to trade ideas, spar, etc..
Anyway, I'd like to extend the invitation to anyone in the...
Aye, I contacted David Lin a while back, but where he teaches is like 30+ miles from where I live. I currently take judo with a former olympic judoka however.
I'm trying to document as many...

Greetings redskanite,
I was wondering what you hope to gain from martial arts. Self-defense? Forms? Just a hobby?
The reason I ask is because a lot of schools are geared towards hobbyist...
