Ah I see...well, I took a Chi Gong class from someone who was versed in Ni Eight Precious Gestures, although we just skimmed over some of the movements...just looking to see if it was worth it before...
I believe there are some slight differences. But I don't know enough of either one to discuss those differences intelligently.

Yes..you actually move them....this is one of the exercizes that Ta Mo (Bodhidarma) brought to China...one of his I Chin Ching (Yi Jin Jing)

I suggest looking into and learning the 7 Precious Gestures of Chi Gong....they have helped me to feel my chi circulating....and they have also helped with my tai chi....very powerful
