BYTT is a widely practiced form in many styles of mantis. But what you perceive as...
Likely Cha Chuy / Chop Choy / Tsaab Tsui = Piercing/Stabbing Hammer or more often translated as Piercing/Stabbing Fist
I'd be interested in seeind the SD version.
"Beaks" for f@ck sake! I am waiting and wondering WTF a mantis "beak" is!
After I read a few more posts, yes haha... Dude I pop in on this terrible thread all the time, but there is no way I can keep up with the whole thing!
You're trolling, right? Please gawd be trolling, this is not mantis at all...
Yeah it's so funny that you can still find people talking about the different cycles of chi flowing through the body, etc... But if chi is an ancient way of describing actual scientific facts, then...
Not quite, Gene was hinting at merging this one in!
To my original point, I just don't see the need to discuss this form in so many threads.
I must say I entertained myself with the "true" Shaolin five animals...
I think we give SD too much publicity, my gosh why does it need to be the biggest thread!
Oh no, I am impervious to anything SD can try to throw at me. Whether it be kung foo punches or sexual assault, thanks to Elvis I now have teh d3adly.
I say we solve this by way of ancient death...
The fact is I created this form in the year 1776. I received inspiration for it from the eternal Elvis, as he was visiting my cave in the Himalayan mountains. He was driving a time-travelling UFO,...
And we get it. A million times over.
How many threads do you need to figure out SD is fraud?
I'm on your side, just calm down man. If I was admin of this board I would be banning you for...
This was fun for a little while...
The website here is the "Kung Fu Magazine Forum", but it seems we need to rename it to "HSKWarrior's forum about Professor Lau's 5 animal form".
Did I about...
HSK, I thought there were two deficiencies in the video: A missing sequence, plus a false sequence, that would separate this set from the authentic one.
Very cool to know. I've always thought thy were interesting to look at, though I never tried to work through them. I imagine they would be good reminders for people who already knew the forms.
Thanks for the reply JP!
I might be wrong, as I visit the KFM forums very sporadically over the years, but I thought you were not only a SD guy but one of it's defenders? I read earlier on that you're not in SD anymore, but...
Speaking of demo's, can someone in the SD camp comment on this one?

My apologies if this video has already been posted, I pop in and out of this thread and have not...
From the first post in this thread:
So U-Ming =/= Five Animal? Just looking for a point of reference.
Is this it?
http://youtu.be/V5c5-n9n4T0
For the non-CLF players like me, is there any way to see this five animal form on youtube?
This post seems about five years too late... Back in the day I was a member of Cyberkwoon. One thing that Fabien used to have available for download was these PDF's of shaolin forms. I recently came...
Do you guys even know what you're fighting about anymore?
Using the hand to shape the form for elbows, yes. You can see this clearly in bung bo, the one "signature" form that exists in every family of northern mantis.
The finger used as a strike... I...
You do realize that I was commenting on this one right?

The one labelled "Southern Praying Mantis Kung Fu (Chow Gar): Um Gen Sau Form"?
If that's not southern...
