I would love to get to be a part of a live in shuai chiao program
Oh ok that makes sense but im not concerned about being able to find quality instruction. i'm surprised by the responses though so far. i thought people on a cma board would have thought that sc...
Why judo over sc for obvious reasons?
Well i've fought sanshou before as well as mma. I have a background in cma and do bjj and a little judo but have an interest in shuai chiao.
I'm curious if anyone here has trained in shuai chiao and if so which lineage they would recommend for somebody looking to supplement their mma training.
Last year Master Yang held one in cooperation with the karate school in medina that he now teaches out of. It was out of medina high school and I was hoping he was doing it again.
Every October there is a sanshou tournament held in Ohio usually in the medina or akron areas. So far though I havent heard anything about it. I was wondering if anyone knows if there will still be...
mr.tolson what is ur lineage?
also why wouldnt u refer someone to chicoine?
the reason i asked is because i know sometimes as the masters get older they arent as hard in their teachings or let people run classes who shouldnt be running a class on their own
What are some of the better schools in that area? I've heard of like wu-tang and ho chun, but are the instructors now as good as the ones who made them famous?
**** I wish I had that much money to spend a month, but at the moment I don't
I'm an akronite myself. I've done some wing chun as an early teen, but my favorite martial arts experience and the one where I learned the most was from my time at Wu-tang. I've also trained with...
I'm sorry to hear that
Where are you and your guys from?
Thanks
yeah i went to the tournament and won my fight after comletely dominating
thankfully I had a good return to the ring
thank you both
Does anyone know of any upcoming sanshou tournies in ohio? I havent had a fight since last october and am coming off a injury and am hoping to jump back in the ring, but I don't know about any fights.
Could anyone on here give me information on a school owned by a Mike Biggie?
Good luck to your son. That is just awful how our society can be like that at times.
Congratulations. I love seeing kung fu guys win in mma.
If you have the right teacher and you work hard. Of course you must learn how to apply what you learn.
I think I'm going to get a pair of Twins because they look nice and they were recommended. Plus they're cheaper than the Fairtex gloves I was thinking of buying.
Not to sound stupid, but if I'm getting a pair of 14 oz. to train then wouldn't it be better to compete with a pair of 12 oz.?
Thanks right now I'm liking the Fairtex gloves, but the Twins are pretty nice too.
Thanks, but I mean what brand.
