    Sad not stupid

I have a rather sad story that took place early Sunday morning. So friends of my had a huge party in west Philadelphia to "celebrate" thier eviction from the house they have lived in for 6+ years (they didn't do anything the landlord isold the building and the new owner is using the property for another purpose). Around 6 am so kids rolled through act a bit rowdy. They were asked to settled down but they persisted. My two of my friends escorted them out and down the block to make sure that they left. When these kids(I'll call them kids cause they have the intellegence of a 6th graders) proceeded to attack my two friends (6 vs. 2). They took turns holding my boys down and stomping on thier heads. One recived 10 staples in his head. The other while he has not acute injury his face is severly disfigured and the doctors said that he is lucky to not have any brain damage. After inquiring about the attackers I was told "I wouldn't do anything if I were you they might just shoot you". This is where law, kung fu, and social morals break down. If anyone goes to the cops they may have to go into hiding, and any kind of "street justice" could get more of my friends hurt or killed. This is what I fear more than any thing a groug of thugs with rather low intellegence, no morals, who don't care who lives or dies. Its just a sad story I thought I'd share. My friends had no chance and are lucky to be alive.

Not to sound like an egotistical twat, but if that were my friends, the people responsible would be in the A+E, receiving emergency attention.

If that's the way round there - do as to others......

    Hope your pals are OK.

Not to be a **** but you'd be dead(though I don't know you so maybe not). I've met them, the all carry guns all the time(I've seen them before). A while back they also took the liberty of breaking both the legs of a bartender friend cause he kicked them out of his bar. Unfortunatly they are kind of thugs that have two names and that doesn't help in tracking them down. And my gut instinct is to hunt them down, and I do have shadey ass string that I can pull, I'm just wondering if it is worth someone I know getting caught in the crossfire.

That's why it's bad to fight thugs in the U.S, they all carry guns. While in Canada there are less guns but probably more knives. Guns are more dangerous and harder to get, but knives are easy. If they are what you say they are, then you should just leave, your kung fu won't stop a bullet.

    Lust.

NO, NO, you need to do it like Americans do.
Everybody carries a LARGE Gun so that when 6 Guys attack you with their Guns, you simply whip yours out and shoo them dead.

Than you jump on your Horse and ride int the sunset. Ouch, sizzle ouch.
    The "Hiyoo Silver" is optional.

I like the Cowboy mentality, and their realistic approach.
BTW, only wussies & Anti-Americans in the USA refuse to carry Guns or wanna control them.

    Nuff said.

    fight stunts

in 88' I was in highschool. There was a cornerstore only a hundred yards away from the school that students would frequent throughout the day. One time I went there to buy some combos ( yes the crunchy pretzel cheeze snack ) since I would only get a dollar for lunch. Two guys that hung out around the store, used to skip class, drink Jack and smoke weed, and were close friends, started to fight for whatever reason. Both thought they were tough guys ( listen to punk music, wore jean everything, never showered, rarely shaved, and always smelled like smoke). They both went to the ground in the side parking lot.
there was broken glass all the time everywhere on the ground.
One guy named Brook got the upper hand as they were wrastlin in the glass and got his buddy Brenden in a rear choke on the ground, kinda like a sleeper hold. He noticed one of Brendan's shoes fell off while they were fighting and that his foot got a little bloody from the broken glass.

While he has him in a choke/sleeper he starts yelling "WHERE's YOUR SHOE!?!? WHERE"S YOUR SHOE?!!?" each time he yells he yolks the hell out of his friend. It was hilarious. No one got seriously hurt and they broke it off a minute later.
I guess loosing your shoe in a fight with him is a serious offense
There were fights all the time where I went to school and somehow I got to see most of them. alot of em were funny

If you are a serious MA, no matter what style, pay attention to what is going on around you. Think positive, if someone gives you a hard time, talk positive about him/her, could get you out of a jam, buyem a beer for peetsakes, but should be no room for error. If push comes to shove, do what it takes, time to practice your art...

At the end of the day it is weighing up option. If your friends are more important to you than the "consequences" [which I really doubt include death] then you make a stand, be it legally, violently or with the use of a large brick, a litre of petrol a cigarette lighter and the guy's car.

As some of you may know [I think I've posted it before] when I was 13 I got twatted badly by 3 19 year olds. No reason except that I had no cigarettes on me. Messed me up pretty bad, but it's what got me into Martial Arts.

At the age of 15 I still couldn't take these guys, and was far from the "enlightened" man that I am now, so I paid a friends brother £30 to set fire to one of the guys' house and car.

Maybe I was petty. Maybe I was a d!ck. I look back and think I was. But at the time it was what I needed. No-one got hurt, but the knob lost his house and car. Enough for me.

    surprising LACK of sarcasm

Knowing you Texans that is sarcasm within sarcasm....

I'm not going to try and decipher your ideas over the Net JWT, not after seeing a photo of you and your god but anyway....

    As for "hardcore"... No.
    Stupid yes.
Completely against my present moral belief system, yes.
    Regretful yes.

But hardcore - no. If I was "hard" I would have done it myself, or maybe with some mates, but you're 15 and stupid, this sh!t happens.

It's funny, but back then I though I was a real tough guy getting "revenge" on the local knobs. Now if I meet new people and they ask me about the scar, I always end the story telling them how I "walked away" and didn't let it get to me, and I get such a better reaction. Maybe it takes more of a man to do that sh!t.
