    Question Gung Fu

    Hi,

I was wondering if anyone knows of a directory of all the different types of gung fu, either a web site or a book or whatever. If anyone knows of any could they please tell me.

    Thanx

well, theirs sites scattered all over the place that have info on lots of styles.

some sites even have searchable databases of styles.
For instance if you go through this site you will find info on various styles of Kung Fu.

if you go to my personal site, it contains a links page that will also bring you to a variety of different martial arts sites including chinese martial arts sites.
    links page

as well there are plenty of others that post here who have sites that provide information about their particular style.

"the chick on the dog" that nospam is refering to is the image of Shiva that is on the page I linked to.

It's actually a tiger and in most tellings, Shiva is a Lord and therefore male.
He is the god of destruction and rebirth.
His single famous catchphrase is "I am become death, destroyer of worlds".
He likes to party and his pet peeves are naughty humans, society at a peak and civilizations that go awry.
Don't invite him for dinner, but he can clear a room fast!

    peace

    Interesting story.

By all means, please link my site to yours. I like your technique images on your site. I'll be doing similar on mine.

    Thanks.

Arrow its a good book but its only a general overview get that

and the shouyuliang book gene just sponsored, ask em he'll tell you

i have the jane hallander book but not the shou yu liang, i was going to say if you just get the list of the styles in the JH book you would find more info searching the net, like for the internal chapter it talks about tai chi, hsing yi and bagua and i think one more?, thiers way more info if you goto all the student sites of the styles covered.

but if you get that and the shou yu liang one i imagine you will get a good idea where you may want togo.
