Anyone ever remember the classic: They Call ME Bruce?

quality movie making at its best

    Many Respects,,, The Willow Sword
It makes me mad when people say I turned and ran like a scared rabbit. Maybe it was like an angry rabbit, who was going to fight in another fight, away from the first fight.

Here's mine in no particular order:

Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon: Great story, with or without the martial arts.

Drunken Master/Drunken Master II: Both incredible fighting movies, and funny.

Young Master: Jackie Chan again, and not for the last time.

Project A: I love Jackie Chan Movies.

My Lucky Stars: I own a lot of Jackie Chan Movies.

Chinese Connection, Fists of Fury, Return of the Dragon, Enter the Dragon: Bruce Lee is the reason I got into martial arts when I was a kid.

Once Upon a Time in China: Jet Li at his best as an actor.

Street Fighter: Sonny Chiba was the best of the Japanese martial arts stars.

Five Deadly Venoms: Just watched it this weekend for the first time. Good old school movie. Not a lot of fighting, but it actually has a plot, unlike a lot of old time movies.

The Heroic Trio: Any guy has to like this movie. I like the artistry of wire fighting, even if it's unrealistic. It takes a heluva lot work.

The Duel: Another high flying movie. I like swords, too.

Barry Gordie's "the Last Dragon" and no one has listed "the adventures of Remo Williams" also i think some of Bruce Lee's cleanest moves were in Green Hornet.

Okay, the rest of the film is poor, but the Streetfighter 2 scene in Jackie Chan's City Hunter is quality.

    Thumbs up

Barefoot kid is cool man, so are the Mr. Vampire series. The 2nd one with Yuen Biao in it rocks

I also like Samo Hung's Encounters of the Spooky Kind series, they're cool

Yeah, i am going to have to agree with yutyeesam, the last dragon is too classic to forget!! Can I get a "Sho Nuf"? OK OK, yeah, almost ANY Jet Li movie (i have to thank Silumkid for that) and tons of Jackie....too many to list!! Matrix was kewl..but i am getting REALLY tired of waiting for #2!!! Blade was rad...but i am partial to Stephen Dorff (he is SOO HOT).

What are the top 10 Kung Fu movies?

I have several kung fu movies. I've tried to rent as many as possible and then buy the ones I like. Here's what I have in no particular order.

    Iron Monkey
Snake and Crane Arts of Shaolin
    5 Deadly Venoms
    Decendent of Wing Chun
    Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon
    Rumble in the Bronx
    Spiritual Kung Fu
    Fists of Fury
    Return of the Dragon
    Enter the Dragon
    HERO
    Mortal Combat

What do you think? What are some of your favorites and why?

  14. #29
I would remove mortal combat and add "master of flying guillotine". I'd take off:

    Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon
    Rumble in the Bronx
    Spiritual Kung Fu

    also.

When I can think of ten, I'll post them.
i'm nobody...i'm nobody. i'm a tramp, a bum, a hobo... a boxcar and a jug of wine... but i'm a straight razor if you get to close to me.
