    Master Liang Yi Quan

    Hello people

Anybody know anything about a Mr. Liang Yi Quan? According to National Geographics's 'Myths and Logic of Shaolin Kung Fu' he's one of the main exponents of shaolin KF. Anyone know where he's school is? Anything?

    Thanks

Liang Yiquan is one of the Top Ten of China

I published an article on him in our Jan/FEB 2002 issue: http://store.yahoo.com/martialartsma...magjanisk.html

His school is the ShaoLin E'Po KungFu college on West Bei Huan Rd. in Dengfeng.

Can you give me more info on your National Geo reference?

    It's pretty good

    hey again

I'd say it was filmed within the last 2 years. Shi De Yang is in it as is Shi Hen Ming. I wish more monks had been involved such as De Cheng, whom I've heard so many good things about. It was good to finally see what famous sets such as Tong Zi Gong and Xiao Hong look like as I'm currently studying modern wushu.

I also saw the influences of contemporary wushu on some of the animal styles like eagle and mantis which is talked about so much.

I can't give you specific details but it was done pretty well and filmed at the temple and Tagou.

By the way, you are a virtual library and a great help in my search of things Shaolin, if you're ever in South Africa....
