Here's a starter for Shaolin grads in the police. I thought about merging it with the Texas Monk saves police officer from gunman thread, but that seems to be it's own thing.

Forty-eight kung fu practitioners from China's world-renowned Shaolin Temple have been recruited as special policemen in the Buyi and Miao autonomous prefecture of Qiannan in southwest China's Guizhou province. They will take part in a military skills competition by demonstrating martial arts in October of this year. (ECNS) – A total of 48 students from a Shaolin martial arts school have been recruited by the Guizhou Public Security Bureau as special weapons and tactics (SWAT) team members, the Dahe Daily reported.

Ten students from the Songshan Shaolin Wushu Vocational Institute in Henan province were chosen by Guizhou police to train its SWAT team members in early April. Their outstanding performance inspired the provincial police to recruit another 38 students from the school as SWAT team members.

Though the school has developed over 150,000 wushu experts, it's the first time for it to provide dozens of students to an institution at one time, said Liu Haike, chief executive of the institute.
