I'm curious to know what you mean that it's not "proper"? I learned these practices, but I've only used the weights a few times. I don't do that anymore, because I don't think it does what it's supposed to do. It's supposed to give your perineal muscles something to lift. I think it mostly just stretches the connective tissues.

That'll be 250 $ in cash. Thank you, come again.
All right now, son, I want you to get a good night's rest. And remember, I could murder you while you sleep.
Hey son, I bought you a puppy today after work. But then I killed it and ate it! Hahah, I´m just kidding. I would never buy you a puppy.

Well, in my qi kong knowledge, that body part we called it "external kidney." And it will affect the bladder and kidney...these urinative systems. So we strongly oppose of using foreign objects to disturb it.

    PaulLin,

Thanks for the answer. That sounds like a good way to avoid needless injury.

You'd have to be pretty stiff to injure yourself like that.

Add on to that, it will also disturbs the balance of glance activities and hormons. It will also affect the person's mood choronically. Add the digestion disturbs on top of that.
