    You probably know it as "dim mak". Dim mak is the cantonese pronunciation of the mandarin dianmai.

    Both are right

    Dianxue is the more formal term. Dian means point. Xue means a little hole, so it's a little deeper. Mai means vessel. Dianmai is more commonly used, perhaps because it is the same as the more popular term in Cantonese Dim Mak.
