    Hung Gar Lineage....

Are there any other Hung Gar Schools out there who trace their lineage to someone else other than Wong Fei Hung?....

many Hung Kuen lineages go from Hung Hei Guen to others besides Luk Ah Choy, and Wong Fei-Hung, these are mostly called Village Hung Kuen. There is also a school that is from Leung Gwan's lineage (Tiet Kiu Sam)

    Ten Tigers.
Do you honestly believe this lineage exists? If so can you give me some hard evidence.

Wai Hong and Paul Eng's lineage of hung gar comes from Wong Moon Toy who learned from Wong Bil Hong who learned from Wong Fei Hong.

Some people find it hard to believe because of the Hung gar or Fu Jow Pai forms having weird names such as "Tiger Claw #1" and such.

However Gin Foon Mark used to train there and so did Henry Po Yee if you ask him.

Horse power- from your tone I'm not sure that there is evidence that would convince you.

    You are so right.

....Speaking of “old Hung Ga” we should not forget the following problem. From time to time people claim that they practice and teach “old”, “original” or “esoteric” Hung Ga from a “different”, “secret” or “lost” lineage. These styles are supposed to be more profound, more sophisticated, deadlier or closer to original Southern Siulam, etc. than today’s most commonly known Hung Ga....

It seems so long ago that on this very forum a discussion about the Nam Siu Lam Hung Ga Kuen Sect was opened. Most questions could not be answered by them. Several lineages existed of this group. Names of sets where just made up, etc. We had very hard proof that their Four Pillars came from the Chiu Family. They just denied everything.

At this very moment I am busy to bring out a video and CD of this Sect.
These will be handed out to several Hung Gar brothers and also be sold via Hung Gar websites and eBay (vonpadberg).
In these tapes my late Sifu Lai Ng Sam, my Sihing Geoff Hasbrouck and my former student Evert van der Meulen will perform the whole Nam Siu Lam Hung Ga system.
Along with this video and/or CD will come an official statement.
