    Tai Chi Chuan as a fighting art?

    does any one here study tai chi and had to use it in a self defense all out brawl?
    Dont concentrate on my finger or you will miss all of that heavenly glory..

    Yes. I have worked as a bouncer for several years, as well as participating in some full contact fights.

    TaiChi is my primary martial art.

    Do you cross train in anythibg else?

    Yes. I have trained in Xing Yi, and some Northern Shaolin. And way back, I did Judo and Karate for several years.

    But, I really base most of my fighting skill on the lessons I have learned from the TaiChi training, especiall the body mechanics and push hands.

    Where is the school located? I actually live in coral springs but I have wanted to learn tai chi thanks for the info.

    Yes, Master Huang LIVES IN CORAL GABLES.............he teaches at a park nearby and does privates at his house.

    I must say, I highly, highly recommend him. He is definately an example of someone who really understands IMA as MARTIAL ARTS. I have never seen any fajing like his! Check him out, it will be worth your time.
