    Att'n: Repulsive Monkey

I was wondering if you could answer a couple questions for me-

    1) What foods/drinks are considered (in TCM theory) strengthening to the spleen and kidneys? Which are weakening?

    2) What foods/drinks are considered as creating 'dampness' in TCM theory?

    Thanks in advance.

    Apologies

...for not getting back to you sooner.

In TCM damp forming foods are dairy products (fatty milk, cheeses, cream etc.) things which are too salty like crispy bacon and peanuts (especially peanut butter) etc, potatoe crisps, chocolate, greasy meals, really doughy breads, all fried foods basically.

Basically in TCM it is said that the spleen hates all that is cold and wet and prefers things to be dry and warm. Where as the stomnach does like things to be wet so as to ease digestion. However in TCM even though the Stomach receives all food it is consider the job of the spleen to actually disseminate and implement the benefits of the foods taken in.
