    Unhappy

eeeeeeeww... that leg break video makes me sick.

that leg break was NASTY. as for the rest of it, who's to say that those people weren't acting and pretending to be knocked out. There have been worse publicity stunts in the past. I would want to have those KO moves performed on myself just to be sure lol.

I saw a guy out here do a no touch KO demo a while back. Cheesy. Heck, his students screamed like they were being violated by sweaty men at even the most basic chin nas. And I mean screamed. Then he demonstrated how he could KO any of his students who might hurl themselves at him without apparent plan or focus. Wow. That should come in handy should aikido students take to the streets and begin random randori, all the while screaming I am uke!

I like point work, but there's some things I don't care for. I can think of a few proponents of one touch KO's who claim that ufc would be beneath them, but promoting themselves to grandmaster and fleecing their students is apparently aok.

Not saying any of this in relation to that site, I'm still waiting for the videos to download.

    I will just say that

those one touch KO techniques would not work on me, and that I'm tired of this kind of crap. There's one born every minute.

ok, first, I'm still puking from the leg break. OMG, and he didn't
even realize it till he tried to stand on it. F'n A !!

I downloaded and viewed all of them.

When I saw the Wally and Leon Jay clips my questions were
    pretty much answered.

This is all George Dillman stuff. Not necessarily bad.

Being only about an hour or so from Dillman's school I have run
    across a lot of this.

Dillman, Jay and Remy Presas (where my arnis training comes
from) were pretty hot and heavy on the seminar circuit together
often doing triple themed seminars together...
    point ko's/small circle jj/arnis.

I think GM Presas incorporated a lot of Wally Jay's SCJJ into his
    Modern Arnis. Just my observation.

anyway, my observations on the vid's:

they were all using one technique: the arm strike then the under
the mandible strike. I would have to look up the exact points but
I have learned this tech. It works a fair amount of the time....
on a totally relaxed opponent... as is demonstrated. To make it
work on an alert opponent you have to get the arm into a relaxed
state first. If there is any muscle tension in the arm then it won't
work. A strike to the solar plexus before the arm strike will work
but then a good strike to the sp will have the desired affect
    anyway.

I would have been more impressed by seeing each of the head
liners do 6 or more different techniques with identical results.

Actually, I think I saw 2 others do 2 diff tech's only one of which
I think might work...again on a relaxed opponent.

all the above is, of course, just my humble opinion.

except that, of course taco bell ****s will knock anyone out...
...they use grade D and E meat !!!!

dezhen, you gotta dl the broken leg one at least. Bottom
    right column.

if you care at all, I'll tell you which one's seem to be worth
it...I'm totally sceptical cause I doubt these folks trained
extensively with Dillman. Probably just at seminars.
There are a couple that I saw real reactions to the strikes
but mostly not. They were one trick pony's. Look at the point
on the arm they are hitting and then the neck strike and think
    about it...it's possible, IMHO.

Is the broken leg one that kickboxing clip where the dude breaks his shin on the other guy's leg, then tries to stand on it?
