weapon name

Hi,

Traditionally in China women wore layers of clothing like in those kungfu movies, right? My friend told me that inside their belt they have concealed weapons. Does anyone know the name of the weapon/weapons? I don't know if there's one kind or several different kinds.

I thought it was somekind of a really thin flexible sword.
I think that's what my friend said.

Maybe even a whip.

I've heard the sword one too, and in Indian martial arts they use such a weapon. A nine section chainwhip can be concealed around the waist as well.
