Seven Star Footwork

I have been agonizing about the footwork in the seven star style since I have begun. The handwork is coming along nicely but the footwork has been killing my two left feet. A fellow student that has earned my respect told me what worked for him was to stop focusing on where your feet are supposed to land and pay attention to your hips. By golly my feet didn't start going where they were supposed to! Information so fundamental and functional I'm pretty sure where he got it. Thought I'd pass this along to someone else who might be looking for it.
