Neat and orderly.
A well decorated dojo may not represent a traditional, good dojo at all but this seems to be legit.

heck I think the place looks fantastic,
Guess they use the tradition of students cleaning the instructors house thing.
At a boy Luther!!!!

It looks like whoever it belongs to probably lives there as well.

well who wouldn't want a school that looked like that?
if I could afford it I sure as heck would have a sweet azz place
to train.
they do look legit and not a mcdojo so why knock 'em for
the sweet digs.
that guy who's been in the Discovery and TLC shows about
martial arts has a sweet dojo. you know, the big asian guy
with glasses that does aikido. he lives there as well I think.
kinda funny about the 'student cleaning the teacher's house'
bit. I was at the jujitsu class I just started last night and one
of the kids from the karate class before got out all the cleaning
supplies and started dusting and stuff. I'll be curious to find out
if he was short on cash this month or it's a punishment thing
or exactly what.
This shihan who owns the place just added on and has about
6000 sf I think. 2 separate decks, weight training area, 2 private
rooms and a jacuzzi for those post work out soaks !! Pretty nice.
Wow, imagine that. Someone who actually takes so much pride in their dojo they want it to look traditional and nice, with a touch of western decoration thrown in for good measure.
Too bad the mcdojos that make up the bulk of American martial arts studios don't feel the same way....

Oso, actually in most schools I have been in students tend to pitch in to do construction repair type stuff, cleaning etc...

I'd love to have a school that looked like that.
I'm not knocking them... Looks great.. In fact I plan to go there and try some Ikea-do
Here's an idea for a new show instead of "Trading Spaces" how about "Trading Dojos"?

The crap that many schools do is not the crap I was taught or train in or teach.
Dam nit... it made sense when it was running through my head.
