    red5, well sure, I kept the oil furnace running at my sifu's
    school. Others did other things. A lot of the time though my
    sifu would barter 'cleaning' services from students who were short
    cash that month. It was a good thing on his part cuz most of the
    time we would all clean anyway so it really didn't need to be done
    but it allowed the students to feel like they were doing something
    for their training the month they didn't have the money.

    what I saw last night had a little more intent to it then everyone
    just pitching in. I'm just curious to find out what.

    That was nice. I expect no less from Japanese people. Most authentic Japanese dojos, restaurants and stores I have frequented are beautifully designed, decorated and maintained.
