    O/T Pubs in San Fransisco

I'm going to be in San Fransisco this weekend, are there any pubs that show the English Football on T.V. or do the hotels show it on their cable? i.e. Fox or E.SP.N. it's on Sky in the U.K.
    any help would be appreciated
    Best Regards

Pig n whistle (Masonic & Geary)

Mad dog in the fog (lower haight district)

    Kezar stadium (upper haight district)

With the time change, most games are around 3 AM.

    Have fun.

    It's a 4pm (uk time) kick off so I am assuming it's about a 09:00 kick off,
I will be staying in Fishermans Wharf, is that near? or will the Holiday Inn take it on their Cable?
I will be attending a W.T. class on Saturday, so it's not entirely off topic
    thanx

    Hey,

If you go to the last couple of pages on the "talk to the got chi girls" thread, we're talking about stuff to do in San Francisco.

BTW, my boyfriend is planning to make me go to a local pub at 8a.m.Saturday to watch rugby when the South Africa/New Zealand/Australia tournaments start.

San Francisco is only 7 miles across, so EVERYTHING is near.

Masonic and Geary is your closest bet, but still you'd probably want to cab it.

The Haight district is Northwest from Fisherman's wharf. There is a site called mapquest that you can use to create maps before you go.

    I don't know. I don't follow rugby.

I think I could get into it, though. I am going to try to learn the game. I hate football here because you have about two seconds of actual game for every fifteen minutes of commercials. I don't know where people get the patience.

Rugby is not a bad game, we call it egg chasing in my neck of the woods
It's like American Football without the woosey padding!
proper football (soccer to you ) means you only get commercials every 45 minutes
I will be visiting the U.S. for the first time this weekend(it's my birthday present to my wife) and I'm realy looking forward to it
    regards
