...and went to a practice for the first time in ages. I'm sore, bruised, and just coming to realize how much skill and conditioning I've lost.
Looks like I only have the opportunity for one night of this a week, and it's Friday (when I'd rather be catting around.) But you know: opportunities are there to be taken, not ignored. Besides, I'm sick of getting rustier instead of steelier. At the very least, I should slow the decay.
On the minus side, the new colored belts and armless frogged tops look ridiculous together. But hey, if it gets Shifu some business to have a ranking system and a "kung fu-ey" look to in-class togs, I got no beef with it.
All my fight strategy is based on deliberately injuring my opponents. -

"It is the same in all wars; the soldiers do the fighting, the journalists do the shouting, and no true patriot ever get near a front-line trench, except on the briefest of propoganda visits...Perhaps when the next great war comes we may see that sight unprecendented in all history, a jingo with a bullet-hole in him."
