    Unhappy just became unemployed

how su(ky is this: i finished my university class and ran home to have lunch before going to work, went in and my boss told me "didnt your contract run out last friday?" i said "yes - and you said you would draw up a new one before you left on your easter break" to which he replied "no i didnt". So basically no job

im sooo p!ssed off! My boss (who actually works for the university!) said he would draw up/extend my contract so i can work on a casual basis 2 days per week (making around $100 a week which is VERY helpful) as they need a temp in the office. It means i only have one other part time job which just covers food money.

sorry rant over - has anyone else had anything like this happen?
    What can i do?

If you are a poor student, you should be able to qualify for public assistance of some sort until your money situation changes.

really? In the States, you have to have an income over a certian amount per month to not qualify...something like $800. Even low-ranking military soldiers depend on public assitance to supplement their incomes.

    Get Creative!

use your CMA skillz & hire yourself out as a contract killah. Or use the physique you've developed from all the MA training and become a male prostitute (wealthy, attractive women only please).
when life hands you lemons, f&*K 'em!
    good luck!

No one need go hungry in the UK.

    Ok heres what you do.

    Get into a lorry trailer.

Get caught in the trailer by the police.

Pretend you do not talk da engleesh.

Claim that you are from an oppressed ethnic minority who travelled all the way from xxxxx (insert name of country) via several safe country's that you cannot recall at this point and that you would like to claim asylum.

TADA now you get a house (=no rent) food vouchers and lots of nice places that help asylum seekers feel at home in this country.

    hmmm... creative ideas guys... but:

    1) im 154lbs and 5'10" so not really a "physique"
    2) im muslim so need to be married before prostituting myself
    3) im Scottish.

Actually... a scottish Muslim is pretty much an ethnic minority i wonder if Scotland (or wolverhampton) count as areas in "turmoil"?

thanks for giving me a laugh!

Well if the welsh count as a minority then the Scotts do (welsh truck driver won a cash sum last week for being called Taffy).
